In
The Salvation Army our officers are ordained ministers and commissioned to
serve God by serving others. To become an officer, one must successfully
complete the two year officers training course at our College for Officer
Training. To enter the CFOT you must make application to our Candidates’ Board.
When
these applicant cases are received and reviewed, they are precious. More
complete than an application to the finest university, we learn so much about
the person and attempt to measure the veracity of God’s call to officership in
The Salvation Army.
Today
we reviewed five cases that are unique in their story, but consistent in their
love for God and conviction for service in His name. I admit that as we read
and pray over the applicants cases, I’m moved and struck deep in the heart.
Why?
God
is at work…and He’s using us…The Salvation Army.
Hallelujah!
Then
Jesus turned to the Jews who had claimed to believe in him. “If you stick with this, living out what I
tell you, you are my disciples for sure. Then you will experience for
yourselves the truth, and the truth will free you.”

How much is it costing the SA to train a Cadet; 2 years? And the attrition rate in decade one?
